MTV Movie Awards 2021 Red Carpet: Standout Jewelry Looks

Bold, thrilling, and adventurous – that’s how I would describe the dress code at this year’s MTV Movie Awards, which took place at the Palladium in Los Angeles, California.

Even those accepting honors from homemade just as much of an impact with their stunning Instagram outfit selfies.

As far as the jewels go, it was all about the earrings. Stars sparkled in diamond drop earrings and enormous hoops.

Here are my favorite outstanding looks that stole the red-carpet spotlight.

Madison Bailey

Twirling in her multi-colored, tiered Versace skirt, Madison Bailey stole the show for having one of the most fashion-forward looks. Wearing an off-the-shoulder, bra-exposing cardigan, the Outer Banks star accessorized with diamond-encrusted drop earrings and several low-key rings.

Yvonne Orji

Another color-filled look was Yvonne Orji’s vibrant fringe dress, neon-yellow heels, and hoop earrings, with a couple of statement rings. When you’re wearing such a standout gown, you really don’t need to go over the top with the jewels. Personally, I think Orji nailed her accessories. She looked fabulous.

Riley Keough

A red-carpet arrival who did make a statement with her jewelry was Zola star, Riley Keough. It was “go big or go home” for the actress, decked head to toe in red, purple, and green sequins, matched with a huge ruby ring. Choosing to skip the ear lobe décor, Keough accentuated her striking look by covering both wrists in statement bangles and bracelets. I love this creative look!

Lana Condor

The To All the Boys… star looked elegant and beautiful in a floor-length Giorgio Armani metallic dress, accessorized with oversized hoops and a statement ring. It was definitely a dramatic look without showing off too much skin or overdoing it with sparkle. The hoops added a little casualness to the outfit, something that could not have been achieved with a diamond-encrusted collar or pearl drop earrings.

Leslie Jones

The comedian (and host of the show) beamed at the MTV Movie Awards, clad in a striking rose-colored gown, scarlet heels, and dangling diamond-encrusted earrings.

The star received a best comedic performance award for her role in Coming 2 America, in which she co-stars with Eddie Murphy. No wonder she was all smiles throughout the night.

Yara Shahidi

Not many people can make a tracksuit look red-carpet-ready…except for Yari Shahidi. The Grown-ish star looked undeniably cool wearing a printed tracksuit from her Adidas Originals collection, which she accessorized with glittering jewels – just to add a little glitz and glamour to the look. Because if you want to glam up a tracksuit, you’ve got to wear jewels.
