In addition to the heartfelt tributes and powerful performances at the 2020 Grammy Awards came an array of jewels that transcended the traditional. Anything understated was put away for the night; the unapologetic glamour rolled in and caught the eyes of spectators and stars alike. It was a parade of glinting, wow-factor moments, and we applauded every second of it.
The look that stole the red carpet was undoubtedly Billy Porter’s bedecked Baja East jumpsuit ensemble, which was punctuated with a motorized wide-brim hat dripping in rhinestones designed by Sarah Sokol in collaboration with Smooth Technology. It became a meme dream, and it didn’t stop there—he also rocked a spider cuff from the Alexis Bittar archives and custom Coach boots encrusted with over 9,000 crystals.
Chart-topper Lizzo matched her Atelier Versace bodice gown with over $2 million of Lorraine Schwartz gems for an angelic effect. Her crystal-embellished, faux-fur stole and wavy mane struck a classic chord, but the shimmer was on high for the pop star, who strutted down the runway with complete grace.
Ariana Grande gave off ballerina vibes in front of the cameras thanks to a soft gray-hued tulle ballgown from Giambattista Valli, which was finished with massive 30-carat diamond studs from Lorraine Schwartz. On stage, the singer upped the radiance with a stunning mix of Colombian emeralds and diamonds, designed by Schwartz as well, in the form of earrings and a pendant necklace valued at $8 million.
Cardi B chose a sheer, crystal-lined Mugler gown matched with a bespoke diamond necklace by Gismondi 1754. The eight-strand masterpiece of diamonds layered with a diamond-drop necklace came together to form a stack of—oh about—310 carats valued at more than $5 million. Her goddess-like look was simply radiant.
Camila Cabello rocked a black gown from Versace and a $2 million, mesh-inspired diamond necklace from Le Vian for goth-like sophistication. The dramatic flair was sealed with a sleek, ultra-straight ‘do and smoky eye makeup.
Pop beauty Dua Lipa kept things simple in a two-piece silk set designed by Alexander Wang. To keep the edgy minimalism going, she swept her hair up in a 90-eseque style, finished with Maria Tash earrings and a diamond necklace.
Bebe Rexha turned heads in a different type of jewelry piece, a crystal-enhanced chainmail turtleneck balanced with an oversized tuxedo. Her straight hair and glowing complexion grounded the sultry statement.

Debbie,
I read a few Grammy fashion updates, but yours by far was the best! Someone may have missed their calling!
