First Lady Gems to Love and Mimic Forever

First Lady Gems to Love and Mimic Forever

First Ladies are, without a doubt, some of the most elegant people that are in the public eye. The jewels and gems that they adorn themselves with are gorgeous and chic. Each First Lady had their very own unique style of jewelry that they preferred to wear. Here are some of my favorites that will undoubtedly become some of your favorites, too!

Jacqueline Kennedy: Pearls

Arguably one of the most stylish First Ladies, Jacqueline Kennedy loved to wear simulated pearls. They are simple and most elegant, and she wore them with many of her iconic outfits. This Triple Strand White Freshwater Pearl necklace is opulent and beautiful and would go perfect with any outfit, any time of the year.

Michelle Obama: Statement Pieces

Michelle Obama was known for her statement jewelry. This Le Vian Diamond Necklace mimics her style and grace effortlessly. Speaking of jewelry and statements, did you know that this former First Lady had rings made out of a tree that fell on the White House lawn and sent them all to the Heads of State? Talk about making a statement!

Hillary Clinton: A Pop Of Color

Hillary Clinton was known for wearing the Kahn Canary diamond—a yellow, triangular, pillow-shaped uncut diamond ring—to both of President Clinton’s inaugurations, as well as to his gubernatorial inaugurations. The diamond itself is an homage to her home state, as it was found in the Crater of Diamonds Date Park in Arkansas. This radiant Captivating Color Oval Opal, Spessartite and Diamond Accent Frame Ring will surely catch everybody’s eye when you walk by.

Mary Todd Lincoln: Grace Under Pressure

Mary Todd Lincoln was gifted a gorgeous demi-parure from her husband, Abraham Lincoln, from Tiffany & Co. She wore a radiant choker made from seed pearls that were created into rosettes to her husband’s inauguration. This 18K & Seed Pearl Victorian Collar Necklace features seed pearls and mimics that of the former First Lady, who, just like a diamond, thrived under pressure when the nation was on the brink of a civil war.

Nancy Reagan: Style and Sophistication

When Ronald Reagan took office, Nancy was the epitome of style and sophistication. She often could be seen wearing diamonds, gold, and silver. She had even worn a specialty American flag ring made of diamond, sapphire, and rubies, created by Bulgari. This Lab-Created Sapphire Lab-Created Ruby Sterling Silver Necklace is gorgeous, paying great homage to the former First Lady.

Martha Washington: The Very First

It was known that Martha Washington was not very flashy with her jewelry, although she did average approximately $150 a year in jewelry purchases. In the surviving pieces of her jewelry collection, it was found that she had a fondness for garnets as well as seed pearls. When it comes to beauty, this Garnet Droplet Pendant is elegant, yet understated, giving an air of finesse.

All of this jewelry creates a beautiful collection of similar pieces that were worn by former First Ladies.
