Straight From the Runway: Fall Jewelry Trends 2022

Jewelry might not have as much protective functionality as clothing. That said, a dazzling necklace or colorful statement ring can go a long way in adding some sparkle to your look–and alleviating those occasional autumn blues.

Taking inspiration from the runways, here are some of the top fall jewelry trends of 2022 that will brighten up your outfit and boost your mood.

  1. Cuff Bracelets

At Fall Fashion Week 2022, models strutted the runway clad in daring and dramatic cuffs, indicating that we’re moving away from barely-there stacks and onto bigger, bolder wrist adornments. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the fall runways, it’s that bigger is better. Bring the trend home by layering your cuff with one to two smaller bracelets, or slip on one standalone cuff for a bold yet polished look.

  1. Statement Florals

From Carolina Herrera to Brandon Maxwell, designers leveraged our love for florals on this season’s runway. Be prepared to see oversized florals paired with classic jewelry pieces over the next couple of months, at least. Best of all, there’s something so feel-good about florals. They’re the perfect fall pick-me-up. Even if you’re not mad about roses and lilies, there are plenty of floral-inspired jewels in all different sizes to add a little elegance to your outfit.

  1. Oversized Sparklers

From a twinkling diamond ring to a bedazzled bracelet, does sparkle ever really go out of style? Whether you’re accessorizing a cocktail dress or looking to add a little glimmer to your daily attire, you can never go wrong with something sparkly.

Wonderful news! Fall 2022 will be filled with statement-making sparkles. From a glimmering ring to an oversized diamond-paved choker, you can choose your level of sparkle.

  1. Emeralds

Emeralds have always been a highly desired gemstone in the jewelry landscape. This fall, they’re more popular than ever. Designers from Bottega Veneta to Melinda Maria are on board with the trend, and one can expect more designers to follow suit. Pair your emerald jewelry with a simple black dress to make your outfit pop!

  1. Chokers

Chokers are back–and they’re better than ever. Like previous versions, the chokers found on the F/W 22 runways center on traditional materials such as velvet, pearls, chains, and crystals. The only difference is how they’re worn. While Chanel layered mismatched chokers, Miu Miu layered crystal and velvet versions. From what we’ve seen on the runways, it’s all about layering or pairing them with edgy, unusual pieces.

Of course, if you prefer to keep things simple, a delicate pearl choker wouldn’t look amiss.
