Stars Out, Sparkles Out: This Year’s Oscar Jewelry Came to Win

Watching Hollywood sashay down the red carpet during the Academy Awards can widen the eyes of even the most starstruck-immune individual. The jewels worn on Sunday night…well, that’s a different story. This year, the radiance, confidence, and girl-power messaging were all next-level as some of our favorite actresses appeared with an impressive balance of grace and glamour in the form of rings, cuffs, chokers and beyond.

Regina King, a true vision in peach, donned over half a million dollars of Harry Winston designs to go with her showstopping Versace gown. One of the most buzzed-about beauties of the evening, the talented actress wore an assortment of rings and a platinum Draperie Diamond bracelet which consisted of 46.93 carats.

The Swan princess-inspired Cynthia Erivo also had all eyes on her. With a mélange of Piaget rings, including the Piaget Rose Ring, Piaget Possession Ring, and the Piaget Golden Oasis Mirage Ring, the “Harriet” double-nominee showcased—wait for it—more than 750 diamonds altogether. Be sure to zoom in on her symbolic Louboutin-polished nails!

Zazie Beetz of “Joker” stunned in a black sequin corset gown, custom designed by Thom Browne. The sleek number was set on fire with two high-jewelry Bulgari necklaces: the 78-carat Divas’ Dream white-gold necklace and a white-gold wreath with a five-carat oval-cut emerald, 84 accent emeralds, and about 12 carats of pavé diamonds.

Nominated director Greta Gerwig also chose Bulgari. Her high-jewelry platinum necklace featured seven emerald beads (totaling 56.13 carats) accompanied by 46 diamonds. The piece worked really well with her olive-green Dior Haute Couture number for a vintage-inspired effect worth re-playing.

The always-gorgeous Salma Hayek decided to act the role of Greek goddess in a flowing, silk-georgette Gucci gown. Her Boucheron jewels were a divine finale, thanks to an 18-karat white gold, olive-branch headpiece decorated with pearls and diamonds. We worshipped her unique approach to Oscar dressing.

And finally, “Little Women” nominee Saoirse Ronan opted for head-to-toe Gucci. In addition to her dramatic peplum gown, the actress swept her hair up to focus on diamond-and-spinel chandelier earrings, and an insect hair brooch made of tsavorite and diamond.

This was certainly an Oscars night to remember!
