After last year’s virtual ceremony, it was fabulous to see television’s biggest names hitting the 73rd Annual Emmy Awards red carpet in-person on Sunday, September 19 in Los Angeles.

Michaela Coel
Michaela Coel made history at the 2021 Emmy Awards. As the first Black woman to land the prize for Outstanding Writing in a Limited Series, the star honored her success with a bright, bold, and uplifting look: a fluorescent yellow gown accessorized with a diamond necklace and pearl drop earrings.
According to Coel’s stylist Zerina Akers, “It felt youthful and daring, but still very chic. I knew it would take a certain kind of strength to pull it off, and Michaela did just that!”
