Poolside Jewels: Bathing Suit Baubles for All

Poolside Jewels: Bathing Suit Baubles for All

Dreaming of a summer where we can be free, sunbathe, and unwind with friends is something we’re all hoping for right now. The days of living in bathing suits, sun hats, and bare feet feel so close, so we’re definitely staying positive and preparing accordingly and beginning to eye some stunning accessories. This summer, especially, we’re going all out and pairing our one-pieces and bikinis alike with oversized designs, bright gems, and playful picks to bask in the magic this season will likely bring.

The Hoop:

Turquoise is trending right now, and rightly so, as it provokes a feeling of wanderlust and is reminiscent of Caribbean waters and early-morning summer skies. Match it with diamonds and you’ve got a duo that can easily elevate any swimwear ensemble. Take these Irene Neuwirth hoops; they definitely channel the tropics with their alternating bight Kingman turquoise “gumballs” and full-cut diamonds on 18K yellow gold.

The Necklace:

I’m not sure if you’re ready to hear this, but the ‘90s are back. Shell necklaces are on the rise, but don’t worry—designers are ensuring there are plenty of high-end, sophisticated options out there embellished with stones. No, I’m not suggesting you go back to wearing white puka shell necklaces! Feel free to channel your inner island goddess with this Pave Diamond Cowrie Shell Necklace from S. Carter Designs, and a one-shoulder black bathing suit.

The Sunglasses:

You didn’t think I would leave sunglasses out of the equation, did you? Retro glamour is also on the rise, and I’m not upset about that. Enter reimagined flower-power prints and big (we’re talking really big) sunglasses which are going to be seen at every resort and beach this year.  So why not wear yours covered in crystal baguettes Nothing but a simple white suit is needed with this stunning ‘The Emperor’ pair from Anna-Karin Karlsson.

The Watch:

And last but not certainly least, the watch. Stacked with bangles or not, this statement piece should shine and remain in line with the trends above. So, think lots of color and lots of retro charm. This Men’s Rolex is over the top, but such a good example of what warm-weather accessorizing should like this year. The Daytona design comes in 18K gold with custom rainbow-colored diamonds. It’s sure to brighten any day and any bikini.

The Ring:

Rings seem like they would be a bit of a nuisance by the pool, especially when lots of sunscreen slathering is involved, but I simply had to include this beauty from bespoke expert Gemma Wynne. Its unique silhouette finished with two pear-shaped diamonds and a single canary diamond embodies sunshine.

The Bangle:

If you want to easily breathe life into any swim look, a big bangle is the way go to. Why? Because it’s spotlighted every time you sip a cocktail or push up your sunglasses. This find from Meghna Jewels is the perfect example of how to do it right (oh, and I adore emeralds in the summer!). With almost 14 carats of emeralds, diamonds, and mother of pearl, the bangle needs to have a moment at an upscale pool party.
